Raw Accel – Changelogs

The Raw Accel changelog is your go-to resource for staying informed about the latest updates, features, and improvements in each version. Here, you can explore all the recent updates, newly introduced features, resolved bugs, and ongoing improvements from the dedicated developers.

Starting with the latest version, 1.6.1, here are all the exciting changes leading up to the test version, providing a comprehensive look at how Raw Accel continues to develop and evolve. Understanding these changes can help you optimize your Raw Accel settings.

v1.6.1

  • Fixed a crash in the GUI that happened when the chart range was invalid.
  • Improved accessibility for keyboard users.

v1.6.0

  • Dropped support for Windows 7 and 8.1.
  • Added new cap modes:
    1. Output Cap Mode: Sets a limit based on the output relative to the gain switch.
    2. Input Cap Mode: Sets a limit based on the input speed.
    3. Both Cap Mode: Sets a limit at a specific point for both input and output, ignoring acceleration and scale.
  • Introduced a device configuration menu with options for:
    1. DPI Normalization: Normalizes both acceleration and sensitivity to 1000 DPI, changing input speed from counts/ms to inches/second.
    2. Disabling Standard Adjustment: Turns off the usual counter-based speed adjustment and uses a constant based on polling rate instead.
    3. Disabling the Driver: Option to disable the driver for selected devices.
  • They changed “Vertical Sensitivity Multiplier” to “Y/X Ratio,” adjusting how ratios are displayed.
  • Changed power mode: now can be capped (it was ignored in version 1.5) and works with the new cap modes.
  • Added an output offset parameter.
  • The weight parameter has been removed.
  • Broke JSON configurations.

v1.5.1

  • Fixed a problem where setting the Lp norm to a value less than 2 would cause an error message.

v1.5.0

  • Added a “streaming mode” toggle for overlaying charts using the Chroma Key in OBS.
  • Introduced new acceleration modes: lookup table and jump.
  • Enabled anisotropy and weight options in by-component mode.
  • Changed the gain cap unit from input speed to gain.
  • Updated names for acceleration parameters:
    • “Natural” is now called “decay rate.”
    • “Motivity” is now called “growth rate.”
  • The parsing of region-specific numbers has been eliminated; the decimal separator will consistently be a dot (‘.’).
  • The weight parameter has been removed for all acceleration modes, except for the power mode.
  • Negative acceleration can still be implemented by adjusting the cap or limit within the range of (0, 1).
  • The sensitivity offset, natural gain mode, and cap/offset options have been removed. In their place, a gain/legacy switch has been introduced, which offers different behaviors depending on the selected mode.
    1. Linear/Classic:
      • Gain: Sets cap style to gain.
      • Legacy: Sets cap style to sensitivity/legacy.
    2. Natural:
      • Gain: Same behavior as the previous “natural gain” mode.
      • Legacy: Same behavior as the legacy natural mode.
    3. Motivity:
      • Gain: Functions identically to the behavior in version 1.4.
      • Legacy: Adjusts sensitivity to match the gain of the original function.
  • The capped power mode is broken, and the cap is ignored.
  • JSON configurations are also broken.

v1.4.4

  • Some bugs are fixed.

v1.4.3

  • Improvements in GUI error handling are made.

v1.4.2

  • Issues with single device-only mode are fixed.

v1.4.1

  • GUI bugs are fixed.

v1.4.0

  • Added anisotropy options for the whole mode, check the updated guide for details.
  • Improved graph accuracy, especially for slower mouse movements.
  • Introduced raw accel angle snapping as a hidden option available only in the JSON settings.
  • You can now select a specific device using its hardware ID.
  • Displays a custom message if there is bad input.
  • Made many other small adjustments and fixes.

v1.3.0

  • Made fixes and improvements to the user interface (GUI).
  • Support for Windows 7 will be dropped by April 2021.
  • Added version information embedded in the program.
  • Introduced directional multipliers for better control.

v1.2.1

  • A speed cap feature has been added to control maximum mouse speed.
  • There is now a menu option to disable auto-apply settings when the GUI loads.

v1.2.0

  • Ensure that all security patches through Windows Update are installed on Windows 7.
  • If you experience any issues with the GUI, please update your .NET Framework to version 4.7.2 or higher.

v1.1.2

  • The graph is fixed.

v1.1.1

  • GUI and converter bugs are fixed.

v1.1.0

GUI Improvements:

  • A new toggle button has been added for easier navigation.
  • The chart area now includes scrollbars, making it easier to view all chart data.

v1.0.2
